Namche Youth Group

Founded in 2000, Namche Youth Group is committed to driving positive change in our community. Through collaboration with government agencies and NGOs, we have led numerous initiatives focused on community development, social welfare, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation. Our mission is to empower the community and create a lasting impact through collective action and sustainable efforts.

The Primary objectives of Namche Youth Group are:

• Preserving and Promoting Sherpa Culture –
  Safeguarding the rich cultural heritage of the Khumbu region.
• Youth Empowerment –
  Providing information, advocacy, social mobilization, and capacity -building opportunities to foster personal and professional growth.
• Community Development–
  Enhancing the social and economic well-being of local communities through participatory approaches, resource mobilization, and income-generating initiatives.
• Environmental Conservation –
  Raising awareness and collaborating with Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee, Sagarmatha National park and Khumbu PasangLhamu Rural Municipality to promote environmental sustainability.
• Collaboration and knowledge Exchange–
  Partnering with local, national, and international organizations to share expertise and transfer technical know-how for community advancement.
